    参考范文第一类有要点(一)

    Dear Terry,

Informed that you want to use some Chinese elements in the bookmark design competition, I am gladly writing to share with you some of my ideas.

To begin with, pandas, cheongsam, Tai Chi, Chinese calligraphy, paper-cutting or even some Chinese characters are very typical and sure to win attention. Among what I mention above, Chinese calligraphy is my favorite because it has a long history and profound meaning. Besides, it is a type of art that has been widely practiced not only in China, but also generally held in high esteem across East Asia and even the world.

Hopefully these suggestions would help and all the best in the competition. Looking forward to hearing your good news.

    Yours,

    LiHua(二)

    Dear Terry,

How are you doing? In your last letter, you asked me about chopsticks. Now, I am writing to inform you of some relevant details.

To begin with, chopsticks are shaped pairs of equal-length sticks and are commonly made of bamboo, plastic, or stainless steel. They are held in the dominant hand, between the thumb and fingers, and used for cooking, serving or picking up food.Traditionally, it is poor etiquette to tap chopsticks on the edge of ones bowl; only beggars make this sort of noise to attract attention. It is also impolite to spear food with a chopstick. Anything too difficult to be handled with chopsticks is traditionally eaten with a spoon.

Hopefully, the information above would be helpful.

    Yours,

    LiHua(三)

    Dear editor,

Informed that our school English newspaper is being reformed, Im writing this email to share with you my opinions.

First, it is suggested that the entertainment column can be removed because I hold the view that the columns should be designed to have more positive effects on our study. In addition, a column concerning Chinese culture should be taken into account because the progress inacquiring Chinese culture contributes to deepening our understanding of who we are as well as broadening our horizons.

What have been mentioned above are my personal ideas. I am in the hope that my advice will meet with your approval.

    Yours sincerely,

    Li Hua第二类 无要点(一)

    Dear Mr. Thomas,

Im Li Hua, an exchange student from China. I am glad to receive the letter from school today and know that you will be my host family during my stay in Perth. To my delight, I find we share many common interests, like going to movies, attending concerts, cooking, etc. It will be my honor to live with you, and I believe we are going to have some great time together.

I will arrive in Perth on July 25th and get to your place the next day. I wonder if you could give me some advice so that I can better prepare myself for my stay there.

    Looking forward to seeing you!

    Yours sincerely,

    Li Hua(二)

    Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to report the loss of my wallet, hoping you could do me a favor.

On February 1st, 2019, right before the Chinese Spring Festival, I flew on your flight BA039 from London Heathrow Airport to China. I well remember it was with me when I boarded the plane but gone on my arrival in Beijing, so I guess it must have slipped out of my pocket during the flight. It is a black leather one with around 200 pound, my ID card, and a family photo in it.

I appreciate it if you could help me check if anyone has happened to find it and sent it to the Lost and Found. Thank you and looking forward to your reply.

    Yours sincerely,

    Li Hua
