    【Abstract】Over time, the status of woman has taken great changes, many outstanding women leaders play an important role in every field. School education also pay attention to female leadership. This paper tells the world how Zhengzhou Girls High School takes measures to cultivate female leadership.

    As is known to all, the status of women has taken great changes during the past years. A large number of outstanding ladies are playing an important role in the field of politics, economy and culture, among whom are German Chancellor Angela Merkel, New Zealand Prime Minister Jesinda Aden, Dong Mingzhu, Grees Chairman, Zhang Xin, CEO of SOHO China. There are special schools for girls. These schools hold the idea that girls should be cultivated taking her gender into consideration. They pay attention to woman power and woman leadership. Zhengzhou Girls High School is a good example.

    Ι.Foundation of the school

    In 2004, a group of teachers, who are inspired by the ambition of devoting themselves to women education, founded Zhengzhou Girls High School. With all the best hope, teachers try their best to innovate women education. To ensure all-inclusive improvement and make their dreams come true, they work day and night to design unique curriculum for female education by studying female educational theory, womens psychology and womens success. Their goal is to make the girls to be self-respected, self-confident, self-reliant and self-improving. In the past 15 years, their efforts have paid off. Girls are growing with the unity of knowledge and action, moral and physical excellence. Today, they are representatives of her power and her leadership.

    Ⅱ.Three representatives of model students

    The first model is Guo Qiaomin. During her study in high school, she was an active member of all kinds of activities. She was the president of Chinese Literature Club, and also the chief editor of the student newspaper. With her efforts, the Club attracted many students. She went to Peking University after graduating from Zhengzhou Girls High School. Doing great in character and studies, she won National Scholarship and National Encouragement Scholarship, and titles of Merit Student of Beijing City and Excellent Graduate of Beijing City several times. She participated in a number of cutting-edge research projects and got the TEM8 (test for English Major-8) certificate. In 2017, she was an intern editor during the National Peoples Conference and the Chinese Peoples Political Consultative Conference, and has independently finished video and text schemes, digging out news, editing the outline of live interview, data statistics, hot topic analysis and special topic anticipation and planning for New Media Center of Peoples Daily and Peoples Daily We Chat platform. During her internship in Information Center of Development Research of the State Council, she was responsible for the propaganda, user analysis and program planning of the WeChat public account. She once served Technological Economy Institute of Broadcasting Science Academy, National Radio and Television Administration, participating in the report writing, data analysis and strategy study and anticipation of relevant activities. She was the operating leader of PKU new media team, the editor of preface column, and the chef planner of PKU AI Research Center. Life of Guo Qiaomin is a vivid demonstration of her leadership and her power!

    The second representative is Guo Yanrui. During her study in high school, she showed excellent gift in leadership and management. She is not only a good student, but the president of student union. After graduating from Zhengzhou Girls High School, she went to Central China Normal University and graduated with honors. She won National Encouragement Scholarship, First-class Scholarship for Excellent Study Performance and Scholarship for Technological Innovation and Comprehensive Scholarship. Now, she is a great teacher, outstanding in communication, team-work and scientific research. Powered by women education, she is passing on women education theory and the “Four Self” spirit in daily work. Her effort is boosting the future of women power.

    Another example is Zhang Di, who studied in Zhengzhou University after graduating from Zhengzhou Girls High School. She now served as a civil servant in Hunan Provincial Department of Finance. In the university, she earned herself an amazing life. she won National Encouragement Scholarship and titles of Merit Student, Excellent Student Reporter and Excellent League Member, and was selected the head of propaganda department of the Communist Youth League and granted the Excellent Volunteer during aid-education project in western China activity. She said: “The three years in Zhengzhou Girls High School is unique. Life there shaped who I am today, my perseverance, independence and confidence. The “Four Self” spirit I learned in High School encourages me all the way, letting me remain the truth to my original aspiration and be a fearless female in the new era!” Zhang Di makes herself a part of her power and her leadership and never stops the pace to future!

    The three girls have much in common. They studied in the high school which focuses on female education, inspired by “four self-spirit”, they were taught to be brave, to make decision, to plan her career… So, they show true leadership and her power, and result in a better life.

    Stories of women power will never end. At this moment, a great many women are making contributions all over the world, showing women leadership to a higher stage. Women power grows stronger with female education based on spirit of “self-respect, self-confidence, self-reliance, and self-improvement”.

    Ⅲ.The motto of the school

    Growth of women power requires self-respect of women. Tao Xingzhi, a great Chinese educator, said: “You must respect yourself before receiving respect from others.” In China, our first lady Peng Liyuan pays much attention to female education and emphasizes self-respect. As a UNESCO Special Envoy for the Advancement of Girls and Womens Education as well as WHO Goodwill Ambassador for Tuberculosis and HIV, she attended the high-grade meeting of Education First for Sustainable Development in UN Headquarters and delivered a lecture in fluent English. She said: “Education is about women and the girls. It is important for girls to go to school because they will become their childrens first teacher someday. But women still account for over half of the worlds poor in population and 60% of adults who cant read.” ① Therefore, girls should have self- respect, break down the barriers to achieve further progress in China and around the world together with men

    Peng also said “Education is crucial in the addressing such in equalities.” When asked about her Chinese dream, she said: “I hope all children especially girls can have access to good education. This is my Chinese dream.” ② Zhengzhou Girls High School shoulder the responsibility of girls education. It lays emphasis both on the academic performance of students and on their education of interpersonal ability and public benefit awareness. The school calls on students to be self-respected in order to let the girls know themselves better, thus they can erect a correct view of life and set a firm life goal. Self-respect can not only give the girls courage and confidence but also help them become responsible citizens and develop female leadership.

    Growth of women power requires self-confidence of women. Self-confidence is the source of life power. Madam Tu Youyou, inventor of artemisinin - the specific medicine to cure malaria, is the first native Chinese winner who won Nobel Prize in Physiology and Medicine. During her research, without sufficient resources and information channels, she did experiments again and again for many years, and sometimes used the medicine on herself to test its effect. The success is originated from her belief that Chinese medicine can do better in curing some diseases.

    Zhengzhou Girls High School holds varieties of activities, such as speech contests, Voice of our school to foster students self-confidence. When the students are confident, they easily feel happy. Some students say “By participating these activities, we can build up ourselves by promoting theoretical thinking ability, resolving ability, decision-making ability, and coordination ability in addition to exercising emotional intelligence and accumulating experience to be more confident”.

    Growth of her power requires self-reliance. Self-reliance is the basis for equality between men and women. Women must be self-reliant to win right of speech and leading positions. Self-reliance education in Zhengzhou Girls high School has penetrated into all aspects of students daily life, including studying ability, living habits. As a compulsory moral education course “A Day in Girls School” is designed to include positive self-evaluation contents which help students form a process of self-motivation and self-growth. “The Student Leaders Forum” aims to train a team of student leaders with high efficiency and capability as well as develop the girls ability of management. Over time, these girls develop good hobbies, interests, lifestyle and relationship. It is likely that some of them will take a lead in a certain field in the future. Woman leadership can grow with intangible improvement day by day.

    Growth of her power requires self-improvement. A famous English saying goes like this “God helps those who help themselves”. The person who helps himself is the one who are self-improving and the one who God wants to help. The saying tells us the importance of self-improvement. Many self-improving women are changing the world for the better with their strength, determination, commitment and courage. Zhengzhou Girls High school applies the tutorial system to help girls solve learning problems and build a more powerful mental world when practicing self-improvement step by step.

    However, the endeavor from one school is negligible for the complete improvement of her power and woman leadership, Growth of her power is facing a lot of problems. For example, some women are weak in society and they have no chance to receive education. They are discriminated in daily life. And some women are abused by violence.

    When pushing forward the growth of her power, we need not only school education like Zhengzhou Girls High School, but also the support of the whole society. Governments are expected to undertake more responsibility. When we see the expansion of her power, we see the charm of women themselves.
